Terms and Conditions

Please make sure to review our terms and conditions, before you submit your order. Please note that as you place your order with us, you agree and are bound to the terms and conditions set out here.

Ordering

Browse our shop sections and add items you want to buy in the basket. To make your purchase, click the “Checkout” button to see payment options. Please contact us if you have any problems with online ordering or need help or advice with any aspect of your order. You can also buy from our Etsy shop.

We will confirm your order in writing and send a notification once your order has been dispatched.
If an item is out of stock and takes longer than usual to deliver, we will let you know and you have the option to cancel your order if you are not happy to wait for it.

Cancellations

If you change your mind, please let us know within 6 hours of ordering and we will cancel your order and issue a full refund.

Payments

Payment has to be made at the point of purchase through the secure payment system on our website. All online transactions are encrypted using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available).
Cardholder information is encrypted and cardholder details are not visible to us when an order is placed via our partners (Paypal, Stripe) online. None of your personal information can be accessed by third parties.

All transactions are made in British Pounds Sterling. If applicable, the exchange rate is calculated by the payment card provider at time of transaction. Please note that some banks may charge you a fee for certain transactions e.g. international transactions.  

Any refunds to overseas orders will be in British Pounds Sterling for the exact amount charged by us in Pounds Sterling. Rivelin Arts cannot be held responsible for any variations in exchange rates and consequent loss of currency as a result of currency or exchange rate changes. We strongly recommend our customers to consider this before placing and confirming any international orders. 

Processing times

Most o our items are made to order and require between 1-5 working days processing time.

We still aim to dispatch and deliver UK orders within 2-7 business days. However, there may be delays around Christmas and bank holidays. As many of our items are handmade to order,  we need on average 1-3 working days to process your order. Please let me know, if you need your items faster and we can see what we can do.

Processing times for commissions and custom orders vary according to the project. We will discuss your wishes in detail and ask for your confirmation on all aspects before completing the project. Custom orders have to be paid at the time of ordering and are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Delivery charges

Delivery charges are based on final, packaged order weight. They start at only £1.50 for UK orders and vary according to destination country.
We offer Free UK delivery on orders over £75.00.

Many of our items can be shipped individually in large letter boxes. However, where several items are combined, we may be able to combine or  need to recalculate your shipping costs to international destinations as the parcel size and price category changes. 
Please contact us per email  if you want to check timing or costs of delivery, when placing a larger order.

Delivery times

We aim to deliver your order as quickly as we can. UK Delivery is by Royal Mail first class at the post office with proof of posting.
Next day delivery is available if your order is placed before 1200 hours midday the previous day. Please check with us if your item is in stock otherwise the processing time  will still apply.

International orders everywhere outside Europe are tracked as standard. Shipping times are as provided by Royal Mail (www.royalmail.com) and are given as minimum delivery times; first class UK 1-3 days, Europe 3-7 business days, to the United States and other continents tracked on average 2 -4 weeks or longer in busy times around Christmas or holidays. We are unable to guarantee a specific arrival/delivery date for overseas deliveries, as this is beyond our control once in the hands of the delivery provider. We cannot be held responsible for any delays due to items held by customs.

Should the goods not be delivered within these times, please contact us by email and we will enquire with the delivery provider. We shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly for the untimely delivery of goods. We are not responsible for the reliability or otherwise of overseas postal/courier services.

International orders – Import duties and taxes

For international orders, any import taxes or customs charges are not included in the price or delivery charges for our goods.
They will be collected upon delivery from the carriers. Such charges are the buyer’s/recipient’s responsibility.
You will be liable for all duties and levies payable at any foreign port as a result of delivery of goods outside of the UK.
Please make sure you are aware of any import duties or customs thresholds in your destination state/country.

You shall not be entitled to cancel your order beyond acceptance of our terms on the basis of unforeseen duties or levies. Should the goods be impounded for any reason by the Authorities of the destination country, payment of those duties is the recipient’s responsibility.

Acceptance of goods

Larger boxed orders will usually require the customer to be present to accept the goods. If goods are returned to us as a result of your failure to accept the delivery of the goods, we shall be entitled to charge you the cost for re-delivery. Having your order delivered to a ‘Safe place’ by the delivery driver is done at your own risk.

All items sent through our international delivery services are insured for loss or damage in transit, unfortunately carriage costs are not, so if for whatever reason the goods are not accepted by the recipient, not collected when/where required or returned to sender then these costs are entirely at your own risk. 

Returns and Exchanges

Please let us know in writing within 48 hours after delivery, in case of goods arriving damaged or not as ordered per email to info@rivelinarts.com with your name, reason for return and order number. In case of damage, please email images of damaged packaging and goods for us to make a claim with the delivery provider. We will be happy to replace or refund on the product/s return.

We do our utmost to describe our products accurately and have 100% happy customers. However, if you’d like to return an item for a refund, please notify us  within 7 working days after receipt and return the item within 28 working days of receipt in its original, immaculate condition with packaging and labels intact for a full refund or exchange . Please note, the return shipping cost and proof of delivery is the buyer’s responsibility. We regret that postage can only be refunded if the item is faulty.

Limitation of Liability

Every effort has been taken to ensure description, photographic reproduction and specifications of products are correct at time of going online. However, due to the hand finished nature of some items, slight variations may occur between actual goods and those pictured; uniformity cannot be guaranteed. We reserve the right to change the specification of products without prior notice.
 
The title of goods passes to the customer at the time of payment. Until such time Rivelin Arts retains full legal and equitable title to the goods.
 
Rivelin Arts, under no circumstances, accepts liability for losses special to the particular circumstances of the customer, indirect or consequential losses or loss of profit, damage to property or wasted expenditure.

We will not be responsible for any loss to you over and above the value of your order, or any losses resulting from your use of our website or resulting from unauthorised access to, or alteration of its transmission or data in circumstance which are beyond our control. We are not responsible to you if we are unable to provide internet services for any reason beyond our control.
