When visitors leave comments on our site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We currently have no contact forms on our website, but you can contact us via Etsy or Folksy.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Ordering information

By purchasing an item from us on Etsy or Folksy,  you authorize these platforms to share with us certain information such as your name, username, email address, delivery address/recipient’s address, details of items you are ordering and how you paid (however not your credit card details).  You may also choose to provide us with additional personal information for example for a custom order when contacting me directly.

How we use this information

1.       We use all collected information primarily to provide our services i.e. to ensure the smooth processing and delivery of orders and to provide customer support, or settle disputes.

If you shop with us on Etsy/Folksy, we share information with Etsy and Folksy as necessary to provide you with our services and comply with our obligations under the Etsy /Folksy Privacy Policy and Etsy / Folksy Terms of Use.

Service providers

We may disclose part of Users’ personal information to our business partners and service providers, when this is required in order to provide the services you have ordered. For example: your Credit card information may be provided for payment confirmation and verification to the partnering entity involved in processing your payment; your name and address will be provided to the delivery companies we use to deliver you order.

The use of any data provided by Rivelin Arts to these partnering service providers is governed by their own Privacy Policies and is beyond our control.

How long we retain your data

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and comply with our legal obligations in relation to the retention and deletion of personal data and as described here in our Privacy Policy.

Personal data that we process for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes. Personal Data will be retained for a minimum period of 1 year and for a maximum period of 7 years following consent/purchase date as required for record retention for tax purposes.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
